This document contains the full procedure to execute a factory reset on a EasyD STB. This procedure can be executed whenever an STB does not boot up, hangs in the loading spinner continuously during the boot process or when it does not connect to internet (with connectivity existent).

The procedure will "format" the internal STB memory, without great impact, and memory related issues will be removed. It only requires a couple additional steps in the end to complete the process.

Step-by-step guide to reset EastD to factory settings

To execute the full factory reset procedure, follow the steps bellow:

1. Access the system menu in the box by pressing the following sequence in the remote: 9 6 3 2 5 8 7 4 1

2. Navigate to "Settings" and press OK in the remote to access the sub-menu.

3. Select "About this device" and press OK.

4. Select "Reset to Factory Default" and press OK.

5. A confirmation dialog will be displayed. Press OK to reset the STB.

6. The STB will reset and the screen will turn black. After the reset a menu will be displayed (in german) to select the country. Select "England".

7. In this step the Language will be selected. Select "English" and press OK.

7. For the Timezone, select "Europe/London".

8. In the Power Saving Feature, select "DISABLE power saving"

9. For the HDMI resolution select "1080i/50HZ" and press OK. A confirmation dialog will be visible to validate the new resolution. Press OK again.

• The final step is the network configuration. Press OK to enter the network configuration.

• Press OK to select confirm.

• The STB will search for connectivity. Once it is connected , press OK.

11. A brief summary of the initial configuration will be displayed. Confirm the values and press OK. The initial setting menu will be displayed.

12. To resume the normal operation, select "Apps" and press OK. ConnectedViews Hospilatity will start loading.

13. The factory reset and initial settings are now complete.
